1. the porta-potties were an absolute mess
One of the best camping experiences I have ever had. They have a great layout and extremely pleasant and hardworking staff. Forget skyline drive and look no further.
We booked our camping trip about a month in advance, skeptical that there would be any openings left where it was 4th of July weekend. We got there about 1pm on a Friday our camp was ready to go.
If they instituted and maintained some quiet hours (say, 12am to 8am), I'd be willing to overlook the bathroom situation and come back!
Great campground, terrible quiet hour enforcement. The concert and air horns continued until 4AM. Great place if you don't mind extremely loud music 21 hours a day.
Clean camp ground, very clean don jons and river bank. Our spot was perfect, nice and quiet and away from all the crazy activity going on. Owner Jeremy made sure he came by to check on us around sun down to see if we had everything we needed for the night. Our second night there we realized our wood was still green and our fire wouldn't light - we drive up to the office and asked if we could buy some wood. The women at the desk told us to go out back and get what we needed (super reasonably priced wood I must say). The entire staff was great and friendly and Jeremy is a hard had worker to make sure everyone was happy! Defiantly recommend camping here, we will defiantly be coming back again!!
Two complaints that lose this campsite 2 stars:
This place is great! The staff is super nice. My dude Jeremy was riding around giving people fire wood, ice, and whatever else you may have needed. Huge camp sites and right on the river. We will definitely be going back.
2. the music from other campers in the field could have been regulated better - it ran into the early hours of the morning and started up again around 6:30am.
Great grassy camping area, located right next to the river. Minimal bugs, even though we were in a valley and near water. The folks running the place were very nice, helped us bring (reasonably priced) firewood from the camp office down to the campsite.
